Fabricated in New York
Our studio is six miles north of Manhattan in Mount Vernon, New York. There, we gather both American and imported stone and bring together the region's top artists and sculptors.
Traditional Hand-Carving
After robotic milling is complete, our skilled artisans hand carve the fine details. This gives every piece the same beauty as a fully hand-crafted sculpture.
Cutting-Edge Robotics
We use the world's most advanced 7-axis CNC robots to complete commissions in days that previously took months, driving down the cost of custom sculpture.
Robots carve in days what a human can carve in months. They do so with near perfect precision. What they can't do are the fine details and intricate chisel marks of a human sculptor. That is why we hand-finish all of our pieces.
How does robotic carving compare to hand carving?
The robots are 7-axis automated CNC machines. The have complete freedom of motion. They progressively mill the stone using several types of diamond-tipped and carbide milling bits.
How does the robot work?
The price of your sculpture reflects its size and complexity. Larger, more complicated pieces require more machine and hand-carving time. We will provide a quote upfront based on the expected fabrication time of the work multiplied by our hourly rate. If we end up finishing faster, that savings will be reflected in the final cost.
How much does it cost?
We work with a range of domestic and foreign marbles and limestones. We can also accommodate special stone requests.
What stone can I choose?
A medium-sized piece generally takes several days to robotically carve and days or weeks to hand finish.
How long does it take?
Shipping is arranged on a case by case basis depending on your location and the size of the sculpture.
How do you ship the sculpture?
Payments are made in installments. For smaller pieces, half up front and half on completion. For larger projects, one third upfront, one third before milling begins, and one third on completion. We refund customers if we fail to deliver the product described in our agreement (nobody has asked for a a refund yet!).
How do I pay? Do you give refunds?
